Residential Energy Efficiency

From providing resources for home weatherization to promoting energy-efficient technologies, we're dedicated to creating comfortable, cost-effective, and sustainable living spaces for Lake and Klamath County residents.

Home Energy Assessment Steps:

  1. Get in contact with Lake County Resources Initiative to schedule a No-Cost, 30 minute Home Energy Assessment with one of our Energy Assessors, Please call (541) 947-5461 or email us at energy.programs@.lcri.org

    1. Make note in your calendar of when the assessment is to take place. We will need to look at your water heater, heating & cooling, attic and crawlspace, so make sure they are accessible.

  2. Prepare for Assessment Appointment

    1. On the date & time agreed on, the energy assessor will come to your home and conduct the assessment. They will discuss your energy systems and incentive opportunities. Please ensure that systems are accessible.

  3. Complete Home Energy Assessment

    1. We will send the assessment to Energy Trust of Oregon, who will have the final say in whether we may pursue projects. After we hear back, we will give you a call. At maximum it should take us 4-6 weeks to give you an update. If you don’t hear from us, give us a call to follow up.

  4. Sit tight and wait for a follow up call

    1. When we call you, we will let you know what projects you are eligible to pursue. The 60% SMI is the cap for our ETO No-Cost programs, however, you may still qualify for some standard incentives. Our attic and floor insulation incentives are not income qualifying.
