Lake County All Lands Restoration Initiative

The Lake County All Lands Restoration Initiative (LCALRI) is one of the new Focused Investment Partnerships (FIP) awarded last year.

A FIP is an OWEB grant program that supports high-performing partnerships to accomplish landscape-scale restoration work with up to $12 million over 3 biennia (6 years).

LCALRI will utilize this funding to restore dry forest (ponderosa pine, aspen, and mixed conifer) resiliency. This will be achieved by reducing fuel load and re-establishing open forests through thinning and low to moderate-intensity fire.

Core partners include: Klamath-Lake Forest Health Partnership, Lake County Cooperative Weed Management, Lake County Resources Initiative, Lake County Umbrella Watershed Council, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Oregon Dept. of Forestry, Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, Oregon State University Extension, The Nature Conservancy, US Forest Service Fremont-Winema Nat. Forest, and the University of Oregon.
